प्रथश्च यस्य सप्रथश्च नामानुष्टुभस्य हविषो हविर्यत्। धातुर्द्युतानात्सवितुश्च विष्णो रथंतरमा जभारा वसिष्ठः॥

Transliteration

prathaśca yasya saprathaśca nāmānuṣṭubhasya haviṣo haviryat | dhāturdyutānātsavituśca viṣṇo rathaṁtaramā jabhārā vasiṣṭhaḥ ||

Translation

VASISTHA mastered the Rathantara, took it from radiant Dhatar, Savitar, and Visnu, Oblation, portion of fourfold oblation, known by the names of Saprathas and Prathas.

अविन्दन्ते अतिहितं यदासीद्यज्ञस्य धाम परमं गुहा यत्। धातुर्द्युतानात्सवितुश्च विष्णोर्भरद्वाजो बृहदा चक्रे अग्नेः॥

Transliteration

avindante atihitaṁ yadāsīdyajñasya dhāma paramaṁ guhā yat | dhāturdyutānātsavituśca viṣṇorbharadvājo bṛhadā cakre agneḥ ||

Translation

These sages found what lay remote and hidden, the sacrifice's loftiest secret essence. From radiant Dhatar, Savitar, and Visnu, from Agni, Bharadvaja brought the Brhat.

तेऽविन्दन्मनसा दीध्याना यजुः ष्कन्नं प्रथमं देवयानम्। धातुर्द्युतानात्सवितुश्च विष्णोरा सूर्यादभरन्घर्ममेते॥

Transliteration

te'vindanmanasā dīdhyānā yajuḥ ṣkannaṁ prathamaṁ devayānam | dhāturdyutānātsavituśca viṣṇorā sūryādabharangharmamete ||

Translation

They found with mental eyes the earliest Yajus, a pathway to the Gods, that had descended. From radiant Dhitar, Savitar, and Visnu, from Surya did these sages bring the Gharma.
