प्र ससाहिषे पुरुहूत शत्रूञ्ज्येष्ठस्ते शुष्म इह रातिरस्तु। इन्द्रा भर दक्षिणेना वसूनि पतिः सिन्धूनामसि रेवतीनाम्॥
Transliterationpra sasāhiṣe puruhūta śatrūñjyeṣṭhaste śuṣma iha rātirastu | indrā bhara dakṣiṇenā vasūni patiḥ sindhūnāmasi revatīnām ||
TranslationO MUCH-INVOKED, thou hast subdued thy foemen: thy might is loftiest; here display thy bounty. In thy right hand, O Indra, bring us treasures: thou art the Lord of rivers filled with riches.
English translation: Ralph T. H. Griffith, 1896.मृगो न भीमः कुचरो गिरिष्ठाः परावत आ जगन्था परस्याः। सृकं संशाय पविमिन्द्र तिग्मं वि शत्रून्ताळ्हि वि मृधो नुदस्व॥
Transliterationmṛgo na bhīmaḥ kucaro giriṣṭhāḥ parāvata ā jaganthā parasyāḥ | sṛkaṁ saṁśāya pavimindra tigmaṁ vi śatrūntāḻhi vi mṛdho nudasva ||
TranslationLike a dread wild beast roaming on the mountain thou hast approached us from the farthest distance. Whetting thy bold and thy sharp blade, O Indra, crush thou the foe and scatter those who hate us.

Transliterationindra kṣatramabhi vāmamojo'jāyathā vṛṣabha carṣaṇīnām | apānudo janamamitrayantamuruṁ devebhyo akṛṇoru lokam ||
TranslationThou, mighty Indra, sprangest into being as strength for lovely lordship o'er the people. Thou drovest off the folk who were unfriendly, and to the Gods thou gavest room and freedom.
