The Deity Atlas

Explore major Vedic and later Hindu devatas through principles, iconography, narrative, and sources. This is a growing, non-sectarian atlas—not a claim that a finite list can contain every regional form or name.

Reading across traditions

A devata may be understood as Supreme Reality, an aspect or form of that Reality, a cosmic power, a beloved personal deity, or several of these at once. The atlas preserves those differences instead of forcing a single hierarchy.
