त्वमग्ने वसूँरिह रुद्राँ आदित्याँ उत। यजा स्वध्वरं जनं मनुजातं घृतप्रुषम्॥

Transliteration

tvamagne vasūriha rudrā ādityā uta | yajā svadhvaraṁ janaṁ manujātaṁ ghṛtapruṣam ||

Translation

WORSHIP the Vasus, Agni! here, the Rudras, the Adityas, all Who spring from Manu, those who know fair rites, who pour their blessings down.

श्रुष्टीवानो हि दाशुषे देवा अग्ने विचेतसः। तान्रोहिदश्व गिर्वणस्त्रयस्त्रिंशतमा वह॥

Transliteration

śruṣṭīvāno hi dāśuṣe devā agne vicetasaḥ | tānrohidaśva girvaṇastrayastriṁśatamā vaha ||

Translation

Agni, the Gods who understand give ear unto the worshipper: Lord of Red Steeds, who lovest song, bring thou those Three-and-Thirty Gods.

प्रियमेधवदत्रिवज्जातवेदो विरूपवत्। अङ्गिरस्वन्महिव्रत प्रस्कण्वस्य श्रुधी हवम्॥

Transliteration

priyamedhavadatrivajjātavedo virūpavat | aṅgirasvanmahivrata praskaṇvasya śrudhī havam ||

Translation

O Jatavedas, great in act, hearken thou to Praskanva's call, As Priyamedha erst was heard, Atri, Virupa, Angiras.

महिकेरव ऊतये प्रियमेधा अहूषत। राजन्तमध्वराणामग्निं शुक्रेण शोचिषा॥

Transliteration

mahikerava ūtaye priyamedhā ahūṣata | rājantamadhvarāṇāmagniṁ śukreṇa śociṣā ||

Translation

The sons of Priyamedha skilled in lofty praise have called for help On Agni who with fulgent flame is Ruler of all holy rites.

घृताहवन सन्त्येमा उ षु श्रुधी गिरः। याभिः कण्वस्य सूनवो हवन्तेऽवसे त्वा॥

Transliteration

ghṛtāhavana santyemā u ṣu śrudhī giraḥ | yābhiḥ kaṇvasya sūnavo havante'vase tvā ||

Translation

Hear thou, invoked withholy oil, bountiful giver of rewards, These eulogies, whereby the sons of Kanva call thee to their aid.

त्वां चित्रश्रवस्तम हवन्ते विक्षु जन्तवः। शोचिष्केशं पुरुप्रियाग्ने हव्याय वोळ्हवे॥

Transliteration

tvāṁ citraśravastama havante vikṣu jantavaḥ | śociṣkeśaṁ purupriyāgne havyāya voḻhave ||

Translation

O Agni, loved by many, thou of fame most wondrous, in their homes Men call on thee whose hair is flame, to be the bearer of their gifts.

Transliteration

ni tvā hotāramṛtvijaṁ dadhire vasuvittamam | śrutkarṇaṁ saprathastamaṁ viprā agne diviṣṭiṣu ||

Translation

Thee, Agni, best to find out wealth, most widely famous, quick to hear, Singers have stablished in their rites Herald and ministering Priest.

आ त्वा विप्रा अचुच्यवुः सुतसोमा अभि प्रयः। बृहद्भा बिभ्रतो हविरग्ने मर्ताय दाशुषे॥

Transliteration

ā tvā viprā acucyavuḥ sutasomā abhi prayaḥ | bṛhadbhā bibhrato haviragne martāya dāśuṣe ||

Translation

Singers with Soma pressed have made thee, Agni, hasten to the feast, Great light to mortal worshipper, what time they bring the sacred gift.

प्रातर्याव्णः सहस्कृत सोमपेयाय सन्त्य। इहाद्य दैव्यं जनं बर्हिरा सादया वसो॥

Transliteration

prātaryāvṇaḥ sahaskṛta somapeyāya santya | ihādya daivyaṁ janaṁ barhirā sādayā vaso ||

Translation

Good, bounteous, Son of Strength, this day seat here on sacred grass the Gods Who come at early morn, the host of heaven, to drink the Soma juice

अर्वाञ्चं दैव्यं जनमग्ने यक्ष्व सहूतिभिः। अयं सोमः सुदानवस्तं पात तिरोअह्न्यम्॥

Transliteration

arvāñcaṁ daivyaṁ janamagne yakṣva sahūtibhiḥ | ayaṁ somaḥ sudānavastaṁ pāta tiroahnyam ||

Translation

Bring with joint invocations thou, O Agni, the celestial host: Here stands the Soma, bounteous Gods drink this expressed ere yesterday.
