लिप्यन्तरणkasya nūnaṁ katamasyāmṛtānāṁ manāmahe cāru devasya nāma | ko no mahyā aditaye punardātpitaraṁ ca dṛśeyaṁ mātaraṁ ca ||
अनुवादWHO now is he, what God among Immortals, of whose auspicious name we may bethink us? Who shall to mighty Aditi restore us, that I may see my Father and my Mother?

अनुवादAgni the God the first among the Immortals, - of his auspicious name let us bethink us. He shall to mighty Aditi restore us, that I may see my Father and my Mother.

अनुवादNe'er have those birds that fly through air attained to thy high dominion or thy might or spirit; Nor these the waters that flow on for ever, nor hills, abaters of the wind's wild fury.
English translation: Ralph T. H. Griffith, 1896.अबुध्ने राजा वरुणो वनस्योर्ध्वं स्तूपं ददते पूतदक्षः। नीचीनाः स्थुरुपरि बुध्न एषामस्मे अन्तर्निहिताः केतवः स्युः॥
लिप्यन्तरणabudhne rājā varuṇo vanasyordhvaṁ stūpaṁ dadate pūtadakṣaḥ | nīcīnāḥ sthurupari budhna eṣāmasme antarnihitāḥ ketavaḥ syuḥ ||
अनुवादVaruna, King, of hallowed might, sustaineth erect the Tree's stem in the baseless region. Its rays, whose root is high above, stream downward. Deep may they sink within us, and be hidden.

लिप्यन्तरणuruṁ hi rājā varuṇaścakāra sūryāya panthāmanvetavā u | apade pādā pratidhātave'karutāpavaktā hṛdayāvidhaścit ||
अनुवादKing Varuna hath made a spacious pathway, a pathway for the Sun wherein to travel. Where no way was he made him set his footstep, and warned afar whate'er afflicts the spirit.

लिप्यन्तरणśataṁ te rājanbhiṣajaḥ sahasramurvī gabhīrā sumatiṣṭe astu | bādhasva dūre nirṛtiṁ parācaiḥ kṛtaṁ cidenaḥ pra mumugdhyasmat ||
अनुवादA hundred balms are thine, O King, a thousand; deep and wide-reaching also be thy favours. Far from us, far away drive thou Destruction. Put from us e'en the sin we have committed.

लिप्यन्तरणamī ya ṛkṣā nihitāsa uccā naktaṁ dadṛśre kuha ciddiveyuḥ | adabdhāni varuṇasya vratāni vicākaśaccandramā naktameti ||
अनुवादWhither by day depart the constellations that shine at night, set high in heaven above us? Varuna's holy laws remain unweakened, and through the night the Moon moves on in splendor

लिप्यन्तरणtattvā yāmi brahmaṇā vandamānastadā śāste yajamāno havirbhiḥ | aheḻamāno varuṇeha bodhyuruśaṁsa mā na āyuḥ pra moṣīḥ ||
अनुवादI ask this of thee with my prayer adoring; thy worshipper craves this with his oblation. Varuna, stay thou here and be not angry; steal not our life from us, O thou Wide-Ruler.

लिप्यन्तरणtadinnaktaṁ taddivā mahyamāhustadayaṁ keto hṛda ā vi caṣṭe | śunaḥśepo yamahvadgṛbhītaḥ so asmānrājā varuṇo mumoktu ||
अनुवादNightly and daily this one thing they tell me, this too the thought of mine own heart repeateth. May he to whom prayed fettered Sunahsepa, may he the Sovran Varuna release us.

लिप्यन्तरणśunaḥśepo hyahvadgṛbhītastriṣvādityaṁ drupadeṣu baddhaḥ | avainaṁ rājā varuṇaḥ sasṛjyādvidvā adabdho vi mumoktu pāśān ||
अनुवादBound to three pillars captured Sunahsepa thus to the Aditya made his supplication. Him may the Sovran Varuna deliver, wise, ne'er deccived, loosen the bonds that bind him.

लिप्यन्तरणava te heḻo varuṇa namobhirava yajñebhirīmahe havirbhiḥ | kṣayannasmabhyamasura pracetā rājannenāṁsi śiśrathaḥ kṛtāni ||
अनुवादWith bending down, oblations, sacrifices, O Varuna, we deprecate thine anger: Wise Asura, thou King of wide dominion, loosen the bonds of sins by us committed.

लिप्यन्तरणuduttamaṁ varuṇa pāśamasmadavādhamaṁ vi madhyamaṁ śrathāya | athā vayamāditya vrate tavānāgaso aditaye syāma ||
अनुवादLoosen the bonds, O Varuna, that hold me, loosen the bonds above, between, and under. So in thy holy law may we made sinless belong to Aditi, O thou Aditya.
