प्र गायत्रेण गायत पवमानं विचर्षणिम्। इन्दुं सहस्रचक्षसम्॥

Transliteration

pra gāyatreṇa gāyata pavamānaṁ vicarṣaṇim | induṁ sahasracakṣasam ||

Translation

SING forth and laud with sacred song most active Pavamana, laud Indu who sees with thousand eyes.

तं त्वा सहस्रचक्षसमथो सहस्रभर्णसम्। अति वारमपाविषुः॥

Transliteration

taṁ tvā sahasracakṣasamatho sahasrabharṇasam | ati vāramapāviṣuḥ ||

Translation

Thee who hast thousand eyes to see, bearer of thousand burthens, they Have filtered through the fleecy cloth.

अति वारान्पवमानो असिष्यदत्कलशाँ अभि धावति। इन्द्रस्य हार्द्याविशन्॥

Transliteration

ati vārānpavamāno asiṣyadatkalaśā abhi dhāvati | indrasya hārdyāviśan ||

Translation

He, Pavamana, hath streamed through the fleece then: he runs into the jars, Finding his way to Indra's heart.

इन्द्रस्य सोम राधसे शं पवस्व विचर्षणे। प्रजावद्रेत आ भर॥

Transliteration

indrasya soma rādhase śaṁ pavasva vicarṣaṇe | prajāvadreta ā bhara ||

Translation

That Indra may be bounteous, flow, most active Soma, for our weal: Bring genial seed with progeny.
