उप नो वाजा अध्वरमृभुक्षा देवा यात पथिभिर्देवयानैः। यथा यज्ञं मनुषो विक्ष्वासु दधिध्वे रण्वाः सुदिनेष्वह्नाम्॥

Transliteration

upa no vājā adhvaramṛbhukṣā devā yāta pathibhirdevayānaiḥ | yathā yajñaṁ manuṣo vikṣvāsu dadhidhve raṇvāḥ sudineṣvahnām ||

Translation

COME to our sacrifice, Vajas, Rbhuksans, Gods, by the paths which Gods are wont to travel, As ye, gay Gods, accept in splendid weather the sacrifice among these folk of Manus.

ते वो हृदे मनसे सन्तु यज्ञा जुष्टासो अद्य घृतनिर्णिजो गुः। प्र वः सुतासो हरयन्त पूर्णाः क्रत्वे दक्षाय हर्षयन्त पीताः॥

Transliteration

te vo hṛde manase santu yajñā juṣṭāso adya ghṛtanirṇijo guḥ | pra vaḥ sutāso harayanta pūrṇāḥ kratve dakṣāya harṣayanta pītāḥ ||

Translation

May these rites please you in your heart and spirit; may the drops clothed in oil this day approach you. May the abundant juices bear you onward to power and strength, and, when imbibed, delight you.

त्र्युदायं देवहितं यथा वः स्तोमो वाजा ऋभुक्षणो ददे वः। जुह्वे मनुष्वदुपरासु विक्षु युष्मे सचा बृहद्दिवेषु सोमम्॥

Transliteration

tryudāyaṁ devahitaṁ yathā vaḥ stomo vājā ṛbhukṣaṇo dade vaḥ | juhve manuṣvaduparāsu vikṣu yuṣme sacā bṛhaddiveṣu somam ||

Translation

Your threefold going near is God-appointed, so praise is given you, Vajas and Rbhuksans. So, Manus-like, mid younger folk I offer, to you who are aloft in heaven, the Soma.

पीवोअश्वाः शुचद्रथा हि भूतायःशिप्रा वाजिनः सुनिष्काः। इन्द्रस्य सूनो शवसो नपातोऽनु वश्चेत्यग्रियं मदाय॥

Transliteration

pīvoaśvāḥ śucadrathā hi bhūtāyaḥśiprā vājinaḥ suniṣkāḥ | indrasya sūno śavaso napāto'nu vaścetyagriyaṁ madāya ||

Translation

Strong, with fair chains of gold and jaws of iron, ye have a splendid car and well-fed horses. Ye Sons of Strength, ye progeny of Indra, to you the best is offered to delight you.

ऋभुमृभुक्षणो रयिं वाजे वाजिन्तमं युजम्। इन्द्रस्वन्तं हवामहे सदासातममश्विनम्॥

Transliteration

ṛbhumṛbhukṣaṇo rayiṁ vāje vājintamaṁ yujam | indrasvantaṁ havāmahe sadāsātamamaśvinam ||

Translation

Rbhuksans! him, for handy wealth, the mightiest comrade in the fight, Him, Indra's equal, we invoke, most bounteous ever, rich in steeds.

सेदृभवो यमवथ यूयमिन्द्रश्च मर्त्यम्। स धीभिरस्तु सनिता मेधसाता सो अर्वता॥

Transliteration

sedṛbhavo yamavatha yūyamindraśca martyam | sa dhībhirastu sanitā medhasātā so arvatā ||

Translation

The mortal man whom, Rbhus, ye and Indra favour with your help, Must be successful, by his thoughts, at sacrifice and with the steed.

Transliteration

vi no vājā ṛbhukṣaṇaḥ pathaścitana yaṣṭave | asmabhyaṁ sūrayaḥ stutā viśvā āśāstarīṣaṇi ||

Translation

O Vajas and Rbhuksans, free for us the paths to sacrifice, Ye Princes, lauded, that we may press forward to each point of heaven.

Transliteration

taṁ no vājā ṛbhukṣaṇa indra nāsatyā rayim | samaśvaṁ carṣaṇibhya ā puru śasta maghattaye ||

Translation

O Vajas and Rbhuksans, ye Nasatyas, Indra, bless this wealth, And, before other men's, the steed, that ample riches may be won.
