इहोप यात शवसो नपातः सौधन्वना ऋभवो माप भूत। अस्मिन्हि वः सवने रत्नधेयं गमन्त्विन्द्रमनु वो मदासः॥

Transliteration

ihopa yāta śavaso napātaḥ saudhanvanā ṛbhavo māpa bhūta | asminhi vaḥ savane ratnadheyaṁ gamantvindramanu vo madāsaḥ ||

Translation

Come hither, O ye Sons of Strength, ye Rbhus; stay not afar, ye Children of Sudhanvan. At this libation is your gift of treasure. Let gladdening draughts approach you after Indra's.

आगन्नृभूणामिह रत्नधेयमभूत्सोमस्य सुषुतस्य पीतिः। सुकृत्यया यत्स्वपस्यया चँ एकं विचक्र चमसं चतुर्धा॥

Transliteration

āgannṛbhūṇāmiha ratnadheyamabhūtsomasya suṣutasya pītiḥ | sukṛtyayā yatsvapasyayā ca ekaṁ vicakra camasaṁ caturdhā ||

Translation

Hither is come the Rbhus' gift of riches; here was the drinking of the well-pressed Soma, Since by dexterity and skill as craftsmen ye made the single chalice to be fourfold

व्यकृणोत चमसं चतुर्धा सखे वि शिक्षेत्यब्रवीत। अथैत वाजा अमृतस्य पन्थां गणं देवानामृभवः सुहस्ताः॥

Transliteration

vyakṛṇota camasaṁ caturdhā sakhe vi śikṣetyabravīta | athaita vājā amṛtasya panthāṁ gaṇaṁ devānāmṛbhavaḥ suhastāḥ ||

Translation

Ye made fourfold the chalice that wag single: ye spake these words and said, O Friend, assist us; Then, Vajas! gained the path of life eternal, deft-handed Rbhus, to the Gods' assembly.

किम्मयः स्विच्चमस एष आस यं काव्येन चतुरो विचक्र। अथा सुनुध्वं सवनं मदाय पात ऋभवो मधुनः सोम्यस्य॥

Transliteration

kimmayaḥ sviccamasa eṣa āsa yaṁ kāvyena caturo vicakra | athā sunudhvaṁ savanaṁ madāya pāta ṛbhavo madhunaḥ somyasya ||

Translation

Out of what substance was that chalice fashioned which ye made fourfold by your art and wisdom? Now for the gladdening draught press out the liquor, and drink, O Rbhus, of die meath of Soma.

शच्याकर्त पितरा युवाना शच्याकर्त चमसं देवपानम्। शच्या हरी धनुतरावतष्टेन्द्रवाहावृभवो वाजरत्नाः॥

Transliteration

śacyākarta pitarā yuvānā śacyākarta camasaṁ devapānam | śacyā harī dhanutarāvataṣṭendravāhāvṛbhavo vājaratnāḥ ||

Translation

Ye with your cunning made your Parents youthful; the cup, for Gods to drink, ye formed with cunning; With cunning, Rbhus, rich in treasure, fashioned the two swift Tawny Steeds who carry Indra.

यो वः सुनोत्यभिपित्वे अह्नां तीव्रं वाजासः सवनं मदाय। तस्मै रयिमृभवः सर्ववीरमा तक्षत वृषणो मन्दसानाः॥

Transliteration

yo vaḥ sunotyabhipitve ahnāṁ tīvraṁ vājāsaḥ savanaṁ madāya | tasmai rayimṛbhavaḥ sarvavīramā takṣata vṛṣaṇo mandasānāḥ ||

Translation

Whoso pours out for you, when days are closing, the sharp libation for your joy, O Vajas, For him, O mighty Rbhus, ye, rejoicing, have fashioned wealth with plenteous store of heroes.

प्रातः सुतमपिबो हर्यश्व माध्यंदिनं सवनं केवलं ते। समृभुभिः पिबस्व रत्नधेभिः सखीँर्याँ इन्द्र चकृषे सुकृत्या॥

Transliteration

prātaḥ sutamapibo haryaśva mādhyaṁdinaṁ savanaṁ kevalaṁ te | samṛbhubhiḥ pibasva ratnadhebhiḥ sakhīryā indra cakṛṣe sukṛtyā ||

Translation

Lord of Bay Steeds, at dawn thejuice thou drankest: thine, only thine, is the noonday libation. Now drink thou with the wealth-bestowing Rbhus, whom for their skill thou madest friends, O Indra.

ये देवासो अभवता सुकृत्या श्येना इवेदधि दिवि निषेद। ते रत्नं धात शवसो नपातः सौधन्वना अभवतामृतासः॥

Transliteration

ye devāso abhavatā sukṛtyā śyenā ivedadhi divi niṣeda | te ratnaṁ dhāta śavaso napātaḥ saudhanvanā abhavatāmṛtāsaḥ ||

Translation

Ye, whom your artist skill hath raised to Godhead have set you down above in heaven like falcons. So give us riches, Children of Sudhanvan, O Sons of Strength; ye have become immortal.

यत्तृतीयं सवनं रत्नधेयमकृणुध्वं स्वपस्या सुहस्ताः। तदृभवः परिषिक्तं व एतत्सं मदेभिरिन्द्रियेभिः पिबध्वम्॥

Transliteration

yattṛtīyaṁ savanaṁ ratnadheyamakṛṇudhvaṁ svapasyā suhastāḥ | tadṛbhavaḥ pariṣiktaṁ va etatsaṁ madebhirindriyebhiḥ pibadhvam ||

Translation

The third libation, that bestoweth treasure, which ye have won by skill, ye dexterous-handed,- This drink hath been effused for you, O Rbhus . drink it with high delight, with joy like Indra's.
