Sukta 78

अभि त्वा गोतमा गिरा जातवेदो विचर्षणे। द्युम्नैरभि प्र णोनुमः॥

abhi tvā gotamā girā jātavedo vicarṣaṇe | dyumnairabhi pra ṇonumaḥ ||

O JATAVEDAS, keen and swift, we Gotamas with sacred song exalt thee for thy glories' sake.

तमु त्वा गोतमो गिरा रायस्कामो दुवस्यति। द्युम्नैरभि प्र णोनुमः॥

tamu tvā gotamo girā rāyaskāmo duvasyati | dyumnairabhi pra ṇonumaḥ ||

Thee, as thou art, desiring wealth Gotama worships with his song: We laud thee for thy glories' sake.

तमु त्वा वाजसातममङ्गिरस्वद्धवामहे। द्युम्नैरभि प्र णोनुमः॥

tamu tvā vājasātamamaṅgirasvaddhavāmahe | dyumnairabhi pra ṇonumaḥ ||

As such, like Angiras we call on thee best winner of the spoil: We laud thee for thy glories' sake.

तमु त्वा वृत्रहन्तमं यो दस्यूँरवधूनुषे। द्युम्नैरभि प्र णोनुमः॥

tamu tvā vṛtrahantamaṁ yo dasyūravadhūnuṣe | dyumnairabhi pra ṇonumaḥ ||

Thee, best of Vrtra-slayers, thee who shakest off our Dasyu foes: We laud thee for thy glories' sake.

अवोचाम रहूगणा अग्नये मधुमद्वचः। द्युम्नैरभि प्र णोनुमः॥

avocāma rahūgaṇā agnaye madhumadvacaḥ | dyumnairabhi pra ṇonumaḥ ||

A pleasant song to Agni we, sons of Rahugana, have sung: We laud thee for thy glories' sake.
