अयं वां मधुमत्तमः सुतः सोम ऋतावृधा। तमश्विना पिबतं तिरोअह्न्यं धत्तं रत्नानि दाशुषे॥

Transliteration

ayaṁ vāṁ madhumattamaḥ sutaḥ soma ṛtāvṛdhā | tamaśvinā pibataṁ tiroahnyaṁ dhattaṁ ratnāni dāśuṣe ||

Translation

ASVINS, for you who strengthen Law this sweetest Soma hath been shed. Drink this expressed ere yesterday and give riches to him who offers it.

त्रिवन्धुरेण त्रिवृता सुपेशसा रथेना यातमश्विना। कण्वासो वां ब्रह्म कृण्वन्त्यध्वरे तेषां सु शृणुतं हवम्॥

Transliteration

trivandhureṇa trivṛtā supeśasā rathenā yātamaśvinā | kaṇvāso vāṁ brahma kṛṇvantyadhvare teṣāṁ su śṛṇutaṁ havam ||

Translation

Come, O ye Asvins, mounted on your triple car three-seated, beautiful of form To you at sacrifice the Kanvas send the prayer: graciously listen to their call.

Transliteration

aśvinā madhumattamaṁ pātaṁ somamṛtāvṛdhā | athādya dasrā vasu bibhratā rathe dāśvāṁsamupa gacchatam ||

Translation

O Asvins, ye who strengthen Law, drink ye this sweetest Soma juice. Borne on your wealth-fraught car come ye this day to him who offers, ye of wondrous deeds.

त्रिषधस्थे बर्हिषि विश्ववेदसा मध्वा यज्ञं मिमिक्षतम्। कण्वासो वां सुतसोमा अभिद्यवो युवां हवन्ते अश्विना॥

Transliteration

triṣadhasthe barhiṣi viśvavedasā madhvā yajñaṁ mimikṣatam | kaṇvāso vāṁ sutasomā abhidyavo yuvāṁ havante aśvinā ||

Translation

Omniscient Asvins, on the thrice-heaped grass bedew with the sweet juice the sacrifice. The sons of Kanva, striving heavenward, call on you with draughts of Soma juice out-poured.

Transliteration

yābhiḥ kaṇvamabhiṣṭibhiḥ prāvataṁ yuvamaśvinā | tābhiḥ ṣvasmā avataṁ śubhaspatī pātaṁ somamṛtāvṛdhā ||

Translation

O Asvins, with those aids wherewith ye guarded Kanva carefully, Keep us, O hords of Splendour: drink the Soma juice, ye strengtheners of holy law.

सुदासे दस्रा वसु बिभ्रता रथे पृक्षो वहतमश्विना। रयिं समुद्रादुत वा दिवस्पर्यस्मे धत्तं पुरुस्पृहम्॥

Transliteration

sudāse dasrā vasu bibhratā rathe pṛkṣo vahatamaśvinā | rayiṁ samudrāduta vā divasparyasme dhattaṁ puruspṛham ||

Translation

O Mighty Ones, ye gave Sudas abundant food, brought on your treasure-laden car; So now vouchsafe to us the wealth which many crave, either from heaven or from the sea.

यन्नासत्या परावति यद्वा स्थो अधि तुर्वशे। अतो रथेन सुवृता न आ गतं साकं सूर्यस्य रश्मिभिः॥

Transliteration

yannāsatyā parāvati yadvā stho adhi turvaśe | ato rathena suvṛtā na ā gataṁ sākaṁ sūryasya raśmibhiḥ ||

Translation

Nasatyas, whether ye be far away or close to Turvasa, Borne on your lightly-rolling chariot come to us, together with the sunbeams come.

अर्वाञ्चा वां सप्तयोऽध्वरश्रियो वहन्तु सवनेदुप। इषं पृञ्चन्ता सुकृते सुदानव आ बर्हिः सीदतं नरा॥

Transliteration

arvāñcā vāṁ saptayo'dhvaraśriyo vahantu savanedupa | iṣaṁ pṛñcantā sukṛte sudānava ā barhiḥ sīdataṁ narā ||

Translation

So let your coursers, ornaments of sacrifice, bring you to our libations here. Bestowing food on him who acts and gives aright, sit, Chiefs, upon the sacred grass.

Transliteration

tena nāsatyā gataṁ rathena sūryatvacā | yena śaśvadūhathurdāśuṣe vasu madhvaḥ somasya pītaye ||

Translation

Come, O Nasatyas, on your car decked with a sunbright canopy, Whereon ye ever bring wealth to the worshipper, to drink the Soma's pleasant juice.

उक्थेभिरर्वागवसे पुरूवसू अर्कैश्च नि ह्वयामहे। शश्वत्कण्वानां सदसि प्रिये हि कं सोमं पपथुरश्विना॥

Transliteration

ukthebhirarvāgavase purūvasū arkaiśca ni hvayāmahe | śaśvatkaṇvānāṁ sadasi priye hi kaṁ somaṁ papathuraśvinā ||

Translation

With lauds and songs of praise we call them down to us, that they, most rich, may succour us; For ye have ever in the Kanvas' well-loved house, O Asvins, drunk the Soma juice.
