सोमानं स्वरणं कृणुहि ब्रह्मणस्पते। कक्षीवन्तं य औशिजः॥

Transliteration

somānaṁ svaraṇaṁ kṛṇuhi brahmaṇaspate | kakṣīvantaṁ ya auśijaḥ ||

Translation

O BRAHMANAPSATI, make him who presses Soma glorious, Even Kaksivan Ausija.

यो रेवान्यो अमीवहा वसुवित्पुष्टिवर्धनः। स नः सिषक्तु यस्तुरः॥

Transliteration

yo revānyo amīvahā vasuvitpuṣṭivardhanaḥ | sa naḥ siṣaktu yasturaḥ ||

Translation

The rich, the healer of disease, who giveth wealth, increaseth store, The prompt,-may he be with us still.

मा नः शंसो अररुषो धूर्तिः प्रणङ्मर्त्यस्य। रक्षा णो ब्रह्मणस्पते॥

Transliteration

mā naḥ śaṁso araruṣo dhūrtiḥ praṇaṅmartyasya | rakṣā ṇo brahmaṇaspate ||

Translation

Let not the foeman's curse, let not a mortal's onslaught fall on us Preserve us, Brahmanaspati.

Transliteration

sa ghā vīro na riṣyati yamindro brahmaṇaspatiḥ | somo hinoti martyam ||

Translation

Ne'er is the mortal hero harmed whom Indra, Brahmanaspati, And Soma graciously inspire.

Transliteration

tvaṁ taṁ brahmaṇaspate soma indraśca martyam | dakṣiṇā pātvaṁhasaḥ ||

Translation

Do, thou, O Brahmanaspati, and Indra, Soma, Daksina, Preserve that mortal from distress.

Transliteration

sadasaspatimadbhutaṁ priyamindrasya kāmyam | saniṁ medhāmayāsiṣam ||

Translation

To the Assembly's wondrous Lord, to Indra's lovely Friend who gives Wisdom, have I drawn near in prayer.

Transliteration

yasmādṛte na sidhyati yajño vipaścitaścana | sa dhīnāṁ yogaminvati ||

He without whom no sacrifice, e'en of the wise man, prospers; he Stirs up the series of thoughts.

आदृध्नोति हविष्कृतिं प्राञ्चं कृणोत्यध्वरम्। होत्रा देवेषु गच्छति॥

Transliteration

ādṛdhnoti haviṣkṛtiṁ prāñcaṁ kṛṇotyadhvaram | hotrā deveṣu gacchati ||

Translation

He makes the oblation prosper, he promotes the course of sacrifice: Our voice of praise goes to the Gods.

Transliteration

narāśaṁsaṁ sudhṛṣṭamamapaśyaṁ saprathastamam | divo na sadmamakhasam ||

Translation

I have seen Narasamsa, him most resolute, most widely famed, As 'twere the Household Priest of heaven.
