ब्रह्मणाग्निः संविदानो रक्षोहा बाधतामितः। अमीवा यस्ते गर्भं दुर्णामा योनिमाशये॥

Transliteration

brahmaṇāgniḥ saṁvidāno rakṣohā bādhatāmitaḥ | amīvā yaste garbhaṁ durṇāmā yonimāśaye ||

Translation

MAY Agni, yielding to our prayer, the Raksas-slayer, drive away The malady of evil name that hath beset thy labouring womb.

यस्ते गर्भममीवा दुर्णामा योनिमाशये। अग्निष्टं ब्रह्मणा सह निष्क्रव्यादमनीनशत्॥

Transliteration

yaste garbhamamīvā durṇāmā yonimāśaye | agniṣṭaṁ brahmaṇā saha niṣkravyādamanīnaśat ||

Translation

Agni, concurring in the prayer, drive off the eater of the flesh, The malady of evil name that hath attacked thy babe and womb.

यस्ते हन्ति पतयन्तं निषत्स्नुं यः सरीसृपम्। जातं यस्ते जिघांसति तमितो नाशयामसि॥

Transliteration

yaste hanti patayantaṁ niṣatsnuṁ yaḥ sarīsṛpam | jātaṁ yaste jighāṁsati tamito nāśayāmasi ||

Translation

That which destroys the sinking germ, the settled, moving embryo, That which will kill the babe at birth,even this will we drive far away.

यस्त ऊरू विहरत्यन्तरा दम्पती शये। योनिं यो अन्तरारेळ्हि तमितो नाशयामसि॥

Transliteration

yasta ūrū viharatyantarā dampatī śaye | yoniṁ yo antarāreḻhi tamito nāśayāmasi ||

Translation

That which divides thy legs that it may lie between the married pair, That penetrates and licks thy side,-even this will we exterminate.

Transliteration

yastvā bhrātā patirbhūtvā jāro bhūtvā nipadyate | prajāṁ yaste jighāṁsati tamito nāśayāmasi ||

Translation

What rests by thee in borrowed form of brother, lover, or of lord, And would destroy thy Progeny,-even this will we exterminate.

Transliteration

yastvā svapnena tamasā mohayitvā nipadyate | prajāṁ yaste jighāṁsati tamito nāśayāmasi ||

Translation

That which through sleep or darkness hath deceived thee and lies down by thee, And will destroy thy progeny,--even this will we exterminate.
