प्र वेधसे कवये वेद्याय गिरं भरे यशसे पूर्व्याय। घृतप्रसत्तो असुरः सुशेवो रायो धर्ता धरुणो वस्वो अग्निः॥
Transliterationpra vedhase kavaye vedyāya giraṁ bhare yaśase pūrvyāya | ghṛtaprasatto asuraḥ suśevo rāyo dhartā dharuṇo vasvo agniḥ ||
TranslationTo him, the far-renowned, the wise Ordainer, ancient and glorious, a song I offer. Enthroned in oil, the Asura, bliss-giver, is Agni, firm support of noble, riches.
English translation: Ralph T. H. Griffith, 1896.ऋतेन ऋतं धरुणं धारयन्त यज्ञस्य शाके परमे व्योमन्। दिवो धर्मन्धरुणे सेदुषो नॄञ्जातैरजाताँ अभि ये ननक्षुः॥
Transliterationṛtena ṛtaṁ dharuṇaṁ dhārayanta yajñasya śāke parame vyoman | divo dharmandharuṇe seduṣo nṝñjātairajātā abhi ye nanakṣuḥ ||
TranslationBy holy Law they kept supporting Order, by help of sacrifice, in loftiest heaven,- They who attained with born men to the unborn, men seated on that stay, heaven's firm sustainer.
English translation: Ralph T. H. Griffith, 1896.अङ्होयुवस्तन्वस्तन्वते वि वयो महद्दुष्टरं पूर्व्याय। स संवतो नवजातस्तुतुर्यात्सिङ्हं न क्रुद्धमभितः परि ष्ठुः॥
Transliterationaṅhoyuvastanvastanvate vi vayo mahadduṣṭaraṁ pūrvyāya | sa saṁvato navajātastuturyātsiṅhaṁ na kruddhamabhitaḥ pari ṣṭhuḥ ||
TranslationAverting woe, they labour hard to bring him, the ancient, plenteous food as power resistless. May he, born newly, conquer his assailants: round him they stand as round an angry lion.
English translation: Ralph T. H. Griffith, 1896.मातेव यद्भरसे पप्रथानो जनंजनं धायसे चक्षसे च। वयोवयो जरसे यद्दधानः परि त्मना विषुरूपो जिगासि॥
Transliterationmāteva yadbharase paprathāno janaṁjanaṁ dhāyase cakṣase ca | vayovayo jarase yaddadhānaḥ pari tmanā viṣurūpo jigāsi ||
TranslationWhen, like a mother, spreading forth to nourish, to cherish and regard each man that liveth,- Consuming all the strength that thou hast gotten, thou wanderest round, thyself, in varied fashion.

Transliterationvājo nu te śavasaspātvantamuruṁ doghaṁ dharuṇaṁ deva rāyaḥ | padaṁ na tāyurguhā dadhāno maho rāye citayannatrimaspaḥ ||
TranslationMay strength preserve the compass of thy vigour, God! that broad stream of thine that beareth riches. Thou, like a thief who keeps his refuge secret, hast holpen Atri to great wealth, by teaching.
