दूतं वो विश्ववेदसं हव्यवाहममर्त्यम्। यजिष्ठमृञ्जसे गिरा॥

Transliteration

dūtaṁ vo viśvavedasaṁ havyavāhamamartyam | yajiṣṭhamṛñjase girā ||

Translation

YOUR envoy who possesses all, Immortal, bearer of your gifts, Best worshipper, I woo with song.

स हि वेदा वसुधितिं महाँ आरोधनं दिवः। स देवाँ एह वक्षति॥

Transliteration

sa hi vedā vasudhitiṁ mahā ārodhanaṁ divaḥ | sa devā eha vakṣati ||

Translation

He, Mighty, knows the gift of wealth, he knows the deep recess of heaven: He shall bring hitherward the Gods.

Transliteration

sa veda deva ānamaṁ devā ṛtāyate dame | dāti priyāṇi cidvasu ||

Translation

He knows, a God himself, to guide Gods to the righteous in his home: He gives e'en treasures that we love.

sa hotā sedu dūtyaṁ cikitvā antarīyate | vidvā ārodhanaṁ divaḥ ||

Translation

He is the Herald: well-informed, he doth his errand to and fro, Knowing the deep recess of heaven.

May we be they who gratify Agni with sacrificial gifts, Whocherish and enkindle him.
