सूक्त १५

इन्द्र सोमं पिब ऋतुना त्वा विशन्त्विन्दवः। मत्सरासस्तदोकसः॥

indra somaṁ piba ṛtunā tvā viśantvindavaḥ | matsarāsastadokasaḥ ||

O INDRA drink the Soma juice with Rtu; let the cheering drops Sink deep within, which settle there.

मरुतः पिबत ऋतुना पोत्राद्यज्ञं पुनीतन। यूयं हि ष्ठा सुदानवः॥

marutaḥ pibata ṛtunā potrādyajñaṁ punītana | yūyaṁ hi ṣṭhā sudānavaḥ ||

Drink from the Purifier's cup, Maruts, with Rtu; sanctify The rite, for ye give precious gifts.

अभि यज्ञं गृणीहि नो ग्नावो नेष्टः पिब ऋतुना। त्वं हि रत्नधा असि॥

abhi yajñaṁ gṛṇīhi no gnāvo neṣṭaḥ piba ṛtunā | tvaṁ hi ratnadhā asi ||

O Nestar, with thy Dame accept our sacrifice; with Rtu drink, For thou art he who giveth wealth.

अग्ने देवाँ इहा वह सादया योनिषु त्रिषु। परि भूष पिब ऋतुना॥

agne devā ihā vaha sādayā yoniṣu triṣu | pari bhūṣa piba ṛtunā ||

Bring the Gods, Agni; in the three appointed places set them down: Surround them, and with Rtu drink.

ब्राह्मणादिन्द्र राधसः पिबा सोममृतूँरनु। तवेद्धि सख्यमस्तृतम्॥

brāhmaṇādindra rādhasaḥ pibā somamṛtūranu | taveddhi sakhyamastṛtam ||

Drink Soma after the Rtus, from the Brahmana's bounty: undissolved, O Indra, is thy friendship's bond.

युवं दक्षं धृतव्रत मित्रावरुण दूळभम्। ऋतुना यज्ञमाशाथे॥

yuvaṁ dakṣaṁ dhṛtavrata mitrāvaruṇa dūḻabham | ṛtunā yajñamāśāthe ||

Mitra, Varuna, ye whose ways are firm - a Power that none deceives-, With Rtu ye have reached the rite.

द्रविणोदा द्रविणसो ग्रावहस्तासो अध्वरे। यज्ञेषु देवमीळते॥

draviṇodā draviṇaso grāvahastāso adhvare | yajñeṣu devamīḻate ||

The Soma-pressers, fain for wealth, praise the Wealth-giver in the rite, In sacrifices praise the God.

द्रविणोदा ददातु नो वसूनि यानि शृण्विरे। देवेषु ता वनामहे॥

draviṇodā dadātu no vasūni yāni śṛṇvire | deveṣu tā vanāmahe ||

May the Wealth-giver grant to us riches that shall be far renowned. These things we gain, among the Gods.

द्रविणोदाः पिपीषति जुहोत प्र च तिष्ठत। नेष्ट्रादृतुभिरिष्यत॥

draviṇodāḥ pipīṣati juhota pra ca tiṣṭhata | neṣṭrādṛtubhiriṣyata ||

He with the Rtu fain would drink, Wealth-giver, from the Nestar's bowl. Haste, give your offering, and depart.

यत्त्वा तुरीयमृतुभिर्द्रविणोदो यजामहे। अध स्मा नो ददिर्भव॥

yattvā turīyamṛtubhirdraviṇodo yajāmahe | adha smā no dadirbhava ||

As we this fourth time, Wealth-giver, honour thee with the Rtus, be A Giver bountiful to us.

अश्विना पिबतं मधु दीद्यग्नी शुचिव्रता। ऋतुना यज्ञवाहसा॥

aśvinā pibataṁ madhu dīdyagnī śucivratā | ṛtunā yajñavāhasā ||

Drink ye the meath, O Asvins bright with flames, whose acts are pure. who with Rtus accept the sacrifice.

गार्हपत्येन सन्त्य ऋतुना यज्ञनीरसि। देवान्देवयते यज॥

gārhapatyena santya ṛtunā yajñanīrasi | devāndevayate yaja ||

With Rtu, through the house-fire, thou, kind Giver, guidest sacrifice: Worship the Gods for the pious man.
