वने न वा यो न्यधायि चाकञ्छुचिर्वां स्तोमो भुरणावजीगः। यस्येदिन्द्रः पुरुदिनेषु होता नृणां नर्यो नृतमः क्षपावान्॥
लिप्यन्तरणvane na vā yo nyadhāyi cākañchucirvāṁ stomo bhuraṇāvajīgaḥ | yasyedindraḥ purudineṣu hotā nṛṇāṁ naryo nṛtamaḥ kṣapāvān ||
अनुवादAs sits the young bird on the tree rejoicing, ye, swift Pair, have been roused by clear laudation, Whose Herald-Priest through many days is Indra, earth's Guardian, Friend of men, the best of Heroes.

लिप्यन्तरणpra te asyā uṣasaḥ prāparasyā nṛtau syāma nṛtamasya nṛṇām | anu triśokaḥ śatamāvahannṝnkutsena ratho yo asatsasavān ||
अनुवादMay we, when this Dawn and the next dance hither, be thy best servants, most heroic Hero! Let the victorious car with triple splendour bring hitherward the hundred chiefs with Kutsa.

लिप्यन्तरणkaste mada indra rantyo bhūdduro giro abhyugro vi dhāva | kadvāho arvāgupa mā manīṣā ā tvā śakyāmupamaṁ rādho annaiḥ ||
अनुवादWhat was the gladdening draught that pleased thee, Indra? Speed through our doors to songs, for thou art mighty. Why comest thou to me, what gift attracts thee? Fain would I bring thee food most meet to offer.
English translation: Ralph T. H. Griffith, 1896.कदु द्युम्नमिन्द्र त्वावतो नॄन्कया धिया करसे कन्न आगन्। मित्रो न सत्य उरुगाय भृत्या अन्ने समस्य यदसन्मनीषाः॥
लिप्यन्तरणkadu dyumnamindra tvāvato nṝnkayā dhiyā karase kanna āgan | mitro na satya urugāya bhṛtyā anne samasya yadasanmanīṣāḥ ||
अनुवादIndra, what fame hath one like thee mid heroes? With what plan wilt thou act? Why hast thou sought us? As a true Friend, Wide-Strider! to sustain us, since food absorbs the thought of each among us.
English translation: Ralph T. H. Griffith, 1896.प्रेरय सूरो अर्थं न पारं ये अस्य कामं जनिधा इव ग्मन्। गिरश्च ये ते तुविजात पूर्वीर्नर इन्द्र प्रतिशिक्षन्त्यन्नैः॥
लिप्यन्तरणpreraya sūro arthaṁ na pāraṁ ye asya kāmaṁ janidhā iva gman | giraśca ye te tuvijāta pūrvīrnara indra pratiśikṣantyannaiḥ ||
अनुवादSpeed happily those, as Surya ends his journey, who meet his wish as bridegrooms meet their spouses; Men who present, O Indra strong by nature, with food the many songs that tell thy praises.
English translation: Ralph T. H. Griffith, 1896.मात्रे नु ते सुमिते इन्द्र पूर्वी द्यौर्मज्मना पृथिवी काव्येन। वराय ते घृतवन्तः सुतासः स्वाद्मन्भवन्तु पीतये मधूनि॥
लिप्यन्तरणmātre nu te sumite indra pūrvī dyaurmajmanā pṛthivī kāvyena | varāya te ghṛtavantaḥ sutāsaḥ svādmanbhavantu pītaye madhūni ||
अनुवादThine are two measures, Indra, wide-wellmeted, heaven for thy majesty, earth for thy wisdom. Here for thy choice are Somas mixed with butter: may the sweet meath be pleasant for thy drinking.

लिप्यन्तरणā madhvo asmā asicannamatramindrāya pūrṇaṁ sa hi satyarādhāḥ | sa vāvṛdhe varimannā pṛthivyā abhi kratvā naryaḥ pauṁsyaiśca ||
अनुवादThey have poured out a bowl to him, to Indra, full of sweet juice, for faithful is his bounty. O'er earth's expanse hath he grown great by wisdom, the Friend of man, and by heroic exploits.
English translation: Ralph T. H. Griffith, 1896.व्यानळिन्द्रः पृतनाः स्वोजा आस्मै यतन्ते सख्याय पूर्वीः। आ स्मा रथं न पृतनासु तिष्ठ यं भद्रया सुमत्या चोदयासे॥

अनुवादIndra hath conquered in his wars, the Mighty: men strive in multitudes to win his friendship. Ascend thy chariot as it were in battle, which thou shalt drive to us with gracious favour.
